As an Energy Star Partner,
Automatic Laundry is committed to reducing the impact on our environment its
products may create. We continue to work hard to identify ways in which we
can reduce consumption of our natural resources. This goes beyond the
installation of Energy Star qualified laundry products which reduce water
and energy consumption
Automatic
Laundry recycles all of the cardboard packaging that is used to ship our
equipment and we recycle our office waste paper. In addition, we
instituted reconditioning programs to recycle otherwise discarded machines
and parts. When machines and parts do become obsolete, they are brought to
metal recycling plants for proper disposal.
Our biggest
energy saving initiative is our service logistics program. This program
combines the use of GPS vehicle tracking and wireless dispatching of service
calls to identify the technician who can both respond the fastest and travel
the shortest distance to any account requesting service. We have been using
this unique program for over two years with great success. We have been able
to reduce fuel consumption significantly while improving our service
response time.
Every
vehicle in our entire fleet is subject to a strict maintenance regiment
ensuring timely service. All fuel consumption and vehicle tire pressures
are monitored closely to ensure each vehicle’s optimum miles per gallon.
At our
facility, we have undergone an intense energy audit of all electrical
fixtures and replaced old fixtures with the most energy efficient fixture
available on the market. This has reduced our energy consumption by more
than 17% in the last year.
Automatic
Laundry monitors energy efficiency across all aspects of its business and
will continue to seek new energy saving programs.
