Amazing laundry hacks
Laundry is one of the daily tasks. Even if you are experienced doing laundry, sometimes you do not get perfect results and wonder what went wrong? We are going to share some tips that will help you to get the best results. If you follow our tips, you will enjoy doing a load of laundry.
The right temperature of water:
One of the main things in doing a specific laundry load is to select the correct temperature of the water. Different types of fabric require different water temperatures. For instance, cold water works well for shrinkable or delicate fabrics. Cold water is also ideal for sensitive dark colors that tend to fade. Coldwater also helps in reducing the cost of utilities.
However, warm water is suitable for moderately solid fabrics or hand-made fabrics. Mostly hot water is used to wash bedding and towels, white cotton fabric, or oil or grease-stained work clothes.
Choose a quality detergent:
When selecting the detergent, we either buy the one that our parents used or grab the one with the lowest price. However, there are much better ways to choose a detergent to get perfect laundry results. There are two types of detergents: powder detergent or liquid detergent. Powder detergent usually works well for general laundry loads and is less costly. The problem with powder detergent is that they don’t always dissolve appropriately in cold water and often leave white residue on clothes.
Liquid detergents usually contain enzymes that are great for pre-removing stains. You should always read the list of ingredients before buying a liquid detergent. The more enzymes in the detergent formula mean better cleaning power.
Use less amount of detergent
Using too much detergent is one of the most common laundry mistakes that we all do. Overdosing detergent can create a lot of suds. These suds trap soil, allowing it to remain on clothes. The ideal amount can easily be determined. Always try to take one-half less than the recommended amount of detergent and see if the results are better than before. Not only will your clothes look better, but you will also save few bucks.
Treat stains timely
The key to successful laundry is to act quickly. As soon as you spot a stain, quickly rinse, soak the clothe in cold water and apply a quality stain remover before getting it into the washer.
If the stain is stubborn, do not put the dryer’s cloth instead use a stain remover and rewash until it goes off. Each type of stain requires a certain stain remover technique.
Sort your garments correctly
If you do not want to be surprised by a tie-dyed effect on your favorite white tea-shirt, do not forget to sort your clothes correctly. In other words, wash bleeding-colored fabric separately to prevent colors from bleeding onto other fabrics. It is recommended to take a wet cotton swab and rub it on a corner to check if the garment is colorfast or not. If the dyer transfers to the swab, hand washes the cloth separately.
